Refresco provided full MEP design services for a new YMCA branch to be located in Denver, NC. The YMCA branch will include Fitness, Aerobic, Gymnasium, and Natatorium areas. HVAC systems will include high performance features such as Demand Controlled Ventilation and Pool Heat Recovery. Bid alternates for the project include a roof-mounted solar thermal hot water heating system.
Refresco provided full MEP design services for a new Pavilion to be constructed at Camp Thunderbird in Fort Mill, SC. The Pavilion will house an outdoor basketball court, climbing wall, and restroom facilities. The Pavilion will become a signature piece and a focal point for many years to come.
Refresco provided full MEP design services for the replacement of five air handling units at the Dr. Carlton G. Watkins Center. Three of the systems were upgraded to changeover-bypass from constant-volume reheat systems, with considerable energy savings expected.

The dehumidification unit replaced an existing heating and ventilation unit, and will considerably improve the interior conditions for swimmers in the summer months.
Refresco provided full MEP design services for the addition of a micro sand filter for the cooling tower plant at the newly constructed County Courthouse. The filtration system is designed to remove suspended solids from the condenser water loop and improve chiller efficiency.

Security staff located near the entrances has historically complained of cold, drafty conditions due to unwanted infiltration in the winter months. The project added electrical air curtains to provided a heated barrier to block the incoming outside air.
